Stampendous! meets Skipping Stones

Ready for ome spring color? I'm am not looking forward to the heat, but the bright flowers in my yard get a two thumbs up!!

I thought I'd play along with this week's Skipping Stones Design sketch...but I don't have any of their stamps yet...so I pulled out this fun Thinking Bouquet set from Stampendous!

Here's the whole card. I pulled some random bright colored scraps for my color palette and went from there. Cardstock is Bo Bunny double Dot and Bazzill Dotted Swiss. Below is the sketch if you'd like to play along at the Skipping Stones blog:

I think its a really fun sketch, and plan to add it to my files for future use :) Below are the copics that I used if you are interested!

Thanks for hopping by today! Be sure to say hi :)

Pixie Chalenge!

Pixie Dust Challenge time has rolled around again!! Today our Pixie theme is "Let's Play"....just create a card or page using your favorite sport as inspiration. Well, between the release of Deathly Hallows pt 1 on Blu Ray last week, the hype about Pt 2 this summer, and my eldest daughter is rereading the series for the umpteenth time...what else is on MY brain but Quidditch??

I altered this empty candle box to create a Snitch Keeper, LOL. Perfect for anyone to keep any keepsakes hidden away in Hogwarts Style :) The papers are from Creative Imaginations with quite a bit of inking using Tim Holtz Distress pads. The box I also pre-inked with Distress stain to match before adding the papers.

The tag features a close up of Harry....he's from the Harry Potter collection available at the Pixie Dust Studio! STop in and pick up and image so you can play along with us this week! (You don't have to use a PDS image, but we LOVE when you do!) Head to the Pixie Challenge blog for the deets!

OK, Cyndi is checking out!

Beach Cutie

Greetings from Myrtle...last day of the National Cheer Competition. Rachael's team is in first place as of now...

It was finally beautiful today and we got to go hang out on the beach :) So I thought I would post this cute card that I made for the Stampendous! catalog. Its using a stamp set called Block Art Beach Cutie. She's colored to match this fun paper from Little Yellow Bicycle. The sentiment is from the same set.

I also used a fabulous new Stampendous! background stamp called Cling Shell Background stamped in a pale teal on the turquoise Bazzill cardstock. (Also used EK Border punch, ribbon, sponge daubers, copic markers)

OK, I am outta here. Off to the last day of the last competition of the year :)
